TRUNK SHOWS
Trunk Shows provide an opportunity for the designer to present Joyful Design's merchandise before a select group of guests.
My hostess provides her desired environment for fellowship, and I provide a lovely display of original jewelry designs.
Guests can enjoy the fellowship while shopping the finished pieces at the show or making orders customized to their discerning tastes. I also bring a display of materials from which customers can select for their custom jewelry.
At a typical trunk show, I greet the guests as they arrive individually and answer questions about my designs and services. I can give a very brief introduction regarding my designs and services to the group of guests upon request of the hostess.
My hostess receives 10% off of her custom jewelry order for every $100 of custom jewelry ordered by show guests.
Parties are about fellowship and fun (not that shopping for jewelry isn't fun!). My jewelry parties are not all about selling jewelry.
At a Joyful Designs party, I provide materials and instruction for one necklace or bracelet for each party guest wishing to make an item.
We usually take 1.5 hours (depending how chatty your guests are) to make the jewelry pieces as a group. Everyone goes home with a lovely, finished jewelry piece.
I do bring a small display of custom designed pieces, but I do not give a sales presentation. For party descriptions and hostess benefits, please read below.
Party for the Ladies
A popular theme for my adult jewelry parties is a Queenly Beads and Baubles Bash
because every Queen must have her jewels about her; so Joyful Designs will provide a party kit, instruction, and guidance
in assembling a bauble made of beads to adorn your wrist or throat.
Theme can change as hostess requests.
I provide my hostess with an email flyer with
all the details for the party. From the flyer each guest can select a party kit (necklace or bracelet) and the
color preference (from a provided color list).
Bracelets are $20
each. Necklaces are $25 each.
Take Home
Kits are the Item price plus $5.00 for packaging and tutorial instructions.
Each party requires a minimum of 3 paying guests (that can include the hostess at full price).
I must
have all party kit orders no later than 1 week prior to the party (I will give hostess an actual date).
Hostess Benefits: For every 5 paying
guests, my hostess receives $10 off of her bracelet or necklace until it is free. For every $100 of custom jewelry ordered
at a party (does not include party kits), my hostess receives 10% off of one custom jewelry piece (not to exceed $100 discount).
Payment Information: Complete
payment for all ordered party kits is due prior to the event or upon arrival at the event. It is suggested that the
hostess ask for payment as each guest orders a kit.
Any reserved guest cancellation
within 24 hours of the event will receive a refund minus a $5.00 processing fee.
I will bring a party kit for each paying guest that replied by the response date to the hostess which
contains all the materials needed for assembly, graphics demonstrating pattern, my business contact and class information,
a few extra kits for last minute guests, my portfolio album, a few custom design pieces for display, and a
joyful attitude and a smile.
I will have no sales presentation, but I will be available to answer questions and take orders
if any guests approach me.
Materials used include Freshwater Pearls, Swarovski Crystals, Czech Glass, Gemstones, Japanese Glass
Beads, Sterling Silver, or Gold Filled.
LARGE PARTIES: more than 10 people 
With a larger group, it gets very complicated and labor intensive to let each guest preselect their kit and color. For groups of 11 or more guests, I ask 2 things of each guest as they rsvp for the event.
1. Choose a metal for clasps and findings: Sterling Silver or Gold-Filled
2. Choose two favorite colors most worn (not necessarily worn together).
With this information I provide a variety of kits that would meet these criteria, each with a pendant,
uniform button (for military), or focal piece. Guest can bring their own charm if desired.
A plentiful number of kits will be available for selection as the guests arrive.
Payment of $25.00 per kit will be made at time of selection.
For the Younger Ladies
Jewelry parties for little girls, young girls, and teen girls can be fun, joyfully chaotic, and memorable. Joyful
Designs will provide a party kit, instruction, and guidance in assembling for a project of the hostesses choice.
I provide my hostess and her parent with several choices for bracelet or
necklace designs for the party. The hostess will choose one design for her party and guests.
It is recommended for youngest ages, that I bring a varied color selection of beads from which the children
can choose.
For older ages, the hostess and her parent can choose colors for
the kits or I can provide a varied color selection of kits for the selected design.
Party Fees:
All parties include a $20 instructor fee which allows up to an hour and a half of
instructor time at the party, in addition to a price per child or kit ordered.
The Kits listed below are grouped according to suggested skill level, but the older children can always choose from
the easier projects. None of these items are to be considered as toys. They should be worn by young children only
under adult supervision.
Little Ones: Materials include large, plastic
beads for easier handling.
Stretchy Bracelets (includes 2 bracelets) -
$5.00 per child/kit
Memory Bangle Bracelet (includes 2 bracelets) - $5.00
per child/kit
Not-So Little Ones: Materials include smaller Japanese
glass beads and Cat's eye beads of good quality.
Friends Forever Flower Bracelet
- $7.00 per child/kit
Memory Bangle and Necklace - $7.00 per child/kit
Teens: Materials may include fine Japanese glass
beads, natural stone, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, and Sterling Silver clasps
Double Strung Bracelet - $15.00 per kit
Single Strung Necklace
- $20.00 per kit (includes a handmade glass focal bead)
Customized Fobs - $5.00 per fob kit (Can be customized for sports teams, schools,
and other organizations.)
Each party requires a minimum of 3 children/kits.
I must have all party kit orders no later than 1 week prior to the party (I will give hostess an actual date).
Payment Information: Half of the total party cost is due no later than 1 week prior
to the event. The remainder of the party cost is due upon my arrival to the party location.
Cancellations within 36 hours of the party time are subject to a refund minus the $20 instructor
fee.
I will bring all the materials needed for assembly, graphics demonstrating
pattern for older children, my business contact information, a few extra supplies for last minute guests (subject
to charge), my portfolio album, a few custom design pieces for display, and a joyful attitude and a smile.
I will have no sales presentation, but I will be available to answer questions and take orders
